Chef Jose Banda has worked in restaurants and hotels since high school. With over 41,000 hours of kitchen experience, he has mastered a wide variety of cooking techniques has refined his skills, and has become a Master of his craft. Being a Texas native, from Dallas (Mexican American) he grew up playing team sports mainly focusing on football. Having loved the team sport and finding similarities in large commercial kitchens he fell in love with cooking. The fast-paced, competitive, and blazing-hot kitchens reminded him of Texas football. Over the past 20 years, Chef Jose has worked with Mexican, Tex-Mex, pan-Asian, Italian, Mediterranean, new American, and Southern comfort cuisines.

Growing up Jose would visit his family in Mexico and would help make authentic Mexican food with his grandmother. After years of cooking, Chef Jose was able to refine his mother's and grandmother's recipes. Putting his own twist on things, he had been able to add more depth in flavor to his Mexican dishes. Like his homemade salsas from boiled, broiled and fire-roasted, he has done it all. From working as a fry cook and Executive sous chef to Banquet Chef. Chef Jose worked in fine dining restaurants, such as Trulucks in Dallas TX, to your Capital Grille and Ocean Prime in Denver Co. Chef Jose enjoys watching the Dallas Cowboys with his kids, anything outdoors, and everything in the kitchen.
